Single Row Deep Groove Ball Bearings
 
       
Single Row Deep groove ball bearings are used in a particularly wide variety of applications. They are simple in design, non-separable, capable of operating at high and even very high speeds, and require little maintenance. These characteristics coupled with a price advantage make deep groove ball bearings the most popular of all rolling bearings. Deep groove ball bearings are available in a large number of designs like series 60, 618, 619 (light and thin section) 62, 63, 64 (medium and heavy section) in various sizes. These bearings are also produced with metal shields (non-rubbing seals) i.e. Z, ZZ type and rubber seals (rubbing seals) i.e. RS, 2RS type.

Additionally deep grove ball bearings are produced with normal as well as with increased accuracy corresponding to tolerance classes P6 and P5. Moreover these bearings are produced with Normal internal clearance as standard and are also available in C2, C3, C4 and C5 clearances (see chart)

Double Row Deep Groove Ball Bearings
 
     
       
Double Row deep groove ball bearings correspond in their structure and function to a pair of single row deep groove ball bearings. They are designed for high to very high speeds and are used where the load carrying capacity of single row deep groove ball bearings is not sufficient. They have deep uninterrupted raceways and high conformity between the balls and raceways. They are able to carry axial loads acting in both directions in addition to radial loads.

Self-Aligning Ball Bearings

 
Self-aligning ball bearings have two rows of balls with a common sphered raceway in the outer ring. This feature gives the bearings their self-aligning property, permitting skewing between the inner and outer ring which can thus compensate misalignments, shaft deflections and housing deformations.

Self-aligning ball bearings of series 12,13,22 and 23 are available with a cylindrical or tapered bore – K type to be used with Adaptor sleeve, locknut and lock washer and are also available in sealed designs i.e Rubber contact seals on both sides suffixed as 2RS. Self-aligning ball bearings are also produced in solid brass cage as well as solid cage of glass fibre reinforced polyamide 66.

Single Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings
 

Single Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings are self-retaining units with solid inner and outer rings and ball  and cage assemblies with polyamide, sheet metal or brass cages.  Single Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings can support axial forces in one direction and high radial forces. The axial load carrying capacity is dependent on the contact angle i.e larger the contact angle higher the load to which the bearing can be subjected. Due to the contact angle of 40°, (B-Type) these bearings can support high axial loads.  Single Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings are available with nomenclature as 72…B and 73…B

Four point contact bearings are also single row angular contact ball bearings comprising of outer rings, inner rings and ball and cage assemblies. The  Four point contact bearings with split outer ring is referred to as Q type and the Four point contact bearings with split inner ring is referred to as QJ type.  Four point contact bearings are capable of supporting axial loads in both directions

Double Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings
 
Double Row angular contact ball bearings resemble two single row angular contact ball bearings arranged back-to-back, but they are narrower than two single row bearings. They can accommodate heavy radial loads and axial loads acting in both directions.  These bearings are identified as 32 & 33 series and are also available in steel shields i.e 2Z type and rubber seals i.e 2RS type

Double Direction Axial Angular Contact Ball Bearings
Double direction axial angular contact ball bearings are precision bearings without self-retention. They comprise solid shaft washers, a spacer ring, a housing washer and ball and cage assemblies with solid brass cages. The contact angle is 60°.  As a result, these highly rigid axial angular contact ball bearings can support high axial forces in both directions.  Therefore Double direction axial angular contact ball bearings are particularly suitable for spindle bearing arrangements in machine tools. Single Direction Thrust Ball Bearings
Single Direction thrust ball bearings are suitable for accommodation of axial loads in one direction but cannot be subjected to any radial load. Single Direction thrust ball bearings comprise of a shaft washer a ball and cage assembly and a housing washer. They are available in series 511, 512, 513 and 514. Single Direction thrust ball bearings of series 532 and 533 have a spherical housing washer with a U seating which allow angular adjustment and can therefore compensate static misalignments between the shaft and housing.

Double Direction Thrust Ball Bearings
Double Direction thrust ball bearings can accommodate axial loads in both directions. They should should not not be subjected to any radial load. Double Direction thrust ball bearings comprise of one shaft washer two ball and cage assemblies and two housing washer. The are available in series 522 and 523. Double Direction thrust ball bearings of series 542 and 543 have a spherical housing washer with a U seating which allow angular adjustment and can therefore compensate static misalignments between the shaft and housing.
